Mechanical Engineering

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

The department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2002. Our mission is to create a research hub engaged in contemporary research in association with industries and other reputed institutions, impart best-of-class education to students with up-to-date curriculum and content in tune with industry requirements and foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among students to enable a few launch their own ventures.

Mechanical engineers require a solid understanding of key concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, energy and manufacturing. They use these principles in the design and analysis of automobiles, aircraft, heating and cooling systems, buildings and bridges, industrial equipment & machinery, and many more.

Programmes offered by the Department are:

Undergraduate

  •  B.E. Mechanical Engineering.

Postgraduate

  •  M.E. Production Engineering

Faculty
The department consists of a good number of experienced faculty members, who have experience in teaching as well as they have vast industrial experience.

Infrastructure
The Department is well equipped with 10 diversified laboratories including a dedicated laboratory for the Post-Graduate students installed with a variety of software catering to the needs of the students and covering the curriculum specified by the affiliated University.

The department has to its credit corporate training programs, industrial consultancy, and funded projects from government bodies. These connections served to benefit students in the form of good placements, well-equipped laboratories and industrial exposure. The participation of industries in curriculum designing has helped the department to keep pace with fast-changing industrial needs.

Careers
The program enables the students to take up careers in a broad spectrum of industries. Many of the IT industries also have CAD/CIM divisions, which increases the job potential of mechanical engineers.

Mechanics Lab

Fluid mechanics and machinery lab
Automobile lab
Material testing and dynamics of machine lab
HMT and RAC lab
Applied thermodynamics & I.C.Engine lab
Cad lab
Kinematics of machine
