Department of Mechanical Engineering is a part of LNCT Indore and run the Bechlor of Eningienering Course in Mechancial Engineering a 4 year Degree Course and Master of Technology in Thermal a 2 year Degree Course which is Affilated to Rajeev Gandhi Vishwvidalaya, Bhopal and Approved by AICTE New Delhi
Department is also accredidated by worlds number 1. Lift manufacturing company SCHINDLER Germany.

Dr. Kuldeep Ojha
Dr Kuldeep Ojha has joined LNCT Indore as Professor and HOD (ME/AU) in year 2012. He has about 12 years of Academic/Industry/Research experience. He completed ME from SGSITS-Indore in year 2003 and got his PhD degree from Dr B R Ambedkar NIT-Jalandhar in year 2012. His PhD research work is in the area of Powder Mixed Electrical Discharge Machining process. His Thesis supervisors were Dr R K Garg (Prof and HOD, IPE Deptt, NIT Jalandhar) and Dr K K Singh (Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering & Mining Machinery Engineering, Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad). The topic of the PhD thesis was “Experimental study of powder mixed electrical discharge machining process for different tool electrode shape designs”.
Dr Kuldeep Ojha has published 12 papers in International Journals and 5 papers in International/National conferences. He attended 8 short term courses organized by AICTE/MHRD and other organizations. He is also Life member of ‘Indian Society for Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering (ISAMPE).

Students of AutomobileEngineering Department have achieved distinguished performance. Many students have succeeded in national level competitive exams like GATE. (Subhendu Suman: All India Rank-216; GATE-2013). Faculty members have made significant contribution in research knowledge by publishing research articles in International/National Journals/Conferences.
Various industrial visits are organized for the students for enhancing their practical knowledge and skill and provide Industrial exposure. The department also facilitates different co curricular activities like seminar, events, guest lectures for faculty and staff development and personality development of students. The students regularly participate in indoor and outdoor games under guidance of qualified instructor.
The Department promotes research activities among students and faculty members. Many faculty members of the college are pursuing/completed ME and PhD courses from recognized institutions. The faculties are contributing in research knowledge by publishing research articles in international/ national Journals and conferences. The students also participate in research work under guidance of qualified faculty members in their project work.
Industry in-tractions :
Students are encouraged to take up industry based projects and Industry based internships.
