Electrical & Electronics Engineering

The Discipline of Electrical & Electronics Engineering was set up in 1994 with the goal to impart technical education in the field of Electrical Engineering to deserving young men and women of the country at undergraduates level such that they are prepared to face the challenges, to develop leadership qualities, to think about design & developments according to the situations posed by the fast growing globalization. Currently, it offers Bachelor of Engineering degree (B.E.). It has qualified and experienced faculty members. Also it focuses on developing its B.E. Program which must be able to create an engineer who should have sound knowledge of both theory and relevant practice of the discipline. The infrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for students and faculties to learn and innovate. The Department comprises qualified & technically sound faculty members who are involved in teaching & research works. The faculties have published research papers in various national Journals and Conferences. The research interests of the faculty members encompass a wide gamut of sub-disciplines of Electrical Engineering. Collaboration with faculty members from other disciplines, both within and outside the institute, is encouraged.

The department is devoted to appraise the students with socio-economic, technological, health and environment concerns, to orient UG program according to the trends in the technical advancement and to develop the leadership qualities & communication skill in the students and staff of the department.

Post Graduate

  • M.Tech in Control System (Intake 18)
  • M.Tech in Power Electronics (Intake 24)

Course Objective

After 4 years of study students will be turned to a perfect engineer and they will have with them  

  •  To Conduct experiments and to interpret the circuit.

  • Ability to design a circuit on well known Softwares such as MATLAB.

  • An ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to solve Engineering Problems in different Disciplines.

  • To understand Social responsibilities.

  • Good Communication .

  • An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.

Additional training

In every semester the students are given additional training as to develop their skills inside and outside college by industrial visit.


The faculty in the department is a rich blend of personnel with industrial and professional experience. The dedicated staff members have sound knowledge in emerging areas like embedded systems, power electronics applications in power systems, expert systems, etc. The breadth and depth of the research interests of the academic staff ensures a high standard of lecture courses and provides excellent opportunities for challenging and stimulating final year projects. Individual lecturers supplement their delivery using blackboards, overhead projectors and video projection.

EX Department interacts and liaises with well-reputed industries to facilitate funded projects, research and consultancy in the chosen areas. We provide opportunity to our students to enhance  there practical skill & convert there theoretical knowledge in practical prospective while doing vocational training with , NTPC, RAILWAY, BHEL, MPEB & BSNL.


Studying EE will lead to potential careers in the areas of Research & Development (R&D), design, systems analysis, installation and commissioning, process engineering, control and maintenance, manufacturing, quality assurance and testing, information technology, programming, consultancy, management and software engineering.

Our student achieve  sun-shining future few of them are selected in companies like RES, Crompton Grieves, OPEM, ETA, Andritz Hydro. BEML & Software Companies.


The EE Department has eleven laboratories with modern equipment supported by special purpose software packages like ETAP, MATLAB, Orcad, Multisim, PSIM and Magnet. Students enjoy working in the project laboratories to gain hands-on experience and expertise.
